This North Coast Cabernet Sauvignon is blended with around 6% each of Cabernet Franc and Merlot. The wine was blended early in order to let the flavors marry completely. This Cabernet Sauvignon was aged in large oak casks for 3 years to slow the aging process and further mellow the finished wine. This wine will age well for 3 to 5 years. This 2005 Albion North Coast Cabernet Sauvignon has generous amounts of cherry, cassis and vanilla with a small amount of moist tobacco and earthiness to accent the nose. There is also sweetness in the aroma similar to molasses. The mouth-feel is rich with plenty of oak and vanilla flavor to satisfy your palate. The finish is long and fruity with just a hint of tannin. Enjoy this wine with roasted lamb, pork loin, rosemary red potatoes or blue cheese."

"Upon tasting this wine the first time I thought it was unusually on the sweeter side as Cabernet Sauvignons go.
